Information about the process
Your bouquets' original beauty is preserved and carefully crafted into keepsakes to cherish for a lifetime.
Fresh and dried flowers look different and therefore will not look exactly as they did when they were fresh. Flowers are dried in special absorbent sand, this is the best way to preserve each flower in their natural shape with the least amount of color change. Still some color changing is inevitable with certain flowers; reds and purples can become very dark; whites can turn a little yellow or cream; and most flowers darken in general.
Drying flowers in silica sand is the best way to preserve the florals natural beauty, unless flat drying is required.
Over a number of days, many fine layers of resin are carefully poured over the very delicate floral ingredients. Each layer of resin must set before the next layer is poured.
Tiny bubbles are also inevitable as dried florals will give off gas.
Once the pouring is complete, your Resin Bouquet will dry for approx 7 days to ensure that it is completely hardened and cured. The entire preservation process takes about 6-9 weeks depending on how long the florals take to dry.
All resin art is non-toxic, and produces no VOCs or fumes.
Important Notes:
I take the utmost care in creating your beautiful preservation, but because a Resin Bouquet is original, handmade resin art using very fragile botanical ingredients some small bubbles, flaws, imperfections and transparent spots are sometimes unavoidable.
All epoxy resin will eventually amber over time. To delay the process, please keep your preserved Resin Bouquet away from heat or direct sunlight, as you would with any piece of art or original painting.
